Dear Reaching for Rainbows Guests,
Thank you for joining us at the sold-out 26th Reaching for Rainbows Pursuit of Excellence scholarship gala at Carthage College.
Because of your generosity and commitment to our mission, this year’s celebration was another record-setting event benefitting the Mahone Foundation’s CEO college and career readiness mentoring program.
With more than 650 guests in attendance we awarded thirty-three high school students from Kenosha and Racine more than $500,000 in scholarships from the Mahone Foundation, Carthage College, and Herzing University, making it more affordable to continue their education.
Also presented at the gala were two community awards. Kathleen and Peter Barca received the Shebaniah Judah Signature Award. Marieta Huff, Cyndean Jennings, and GeorgAnn Stinson-Dockery received the Dr. Bryan Albrecht Living Legend Award.
What’s more, as part of our inspirational evening an anonymous donor pledged to match every donation up to $25,000 to support the Mahone Foundation's "Need is Now Student Emergency Fund". This Fund provides emergency support to Mahone Scholars enrolled in school, helping them navigate life's unexpected challenges. Thank you again for attending and supporting academic achievement and community leadership while perpetuating the legacy of Mary Lou and Arthur.
We thank you for your continued support!
