The Kenosha FireFighters C.A.R.E. organization presented the Mahone Foundation with a $15,000 contribution raised from their Annual Golf Outing. The donation supports the Mahone Foundations’ Career Exploration (CEO) mentoring and workforce development programs.
The Mahone Foundation’s Career Exploration Organization (CEO) is a college and career readiness mentoring program that provides academic and business activities for first-generation and low to moderate-income high school students and current CEO scholarship recipients.
C.A.R.E. which stands for Community Assistance Response Effort was established in 2007 after a firefighter was injured on the job. The nonprofit serves the community through donations and acts of charitable works.
"It is truly humbling to receive such a significant gift from an amazing group of servants who put their lives on the line every single day to help people. Our collaboration showcases the impact of community partnerships and grassroots engagement to uplift Kenosha families. The Kenosha Firefighters C.A.R.E. generosity is rooted in family values and community support", says Tim Mahone, Chairman, Mahone Foundation
Both the Mahone Foundation and the Kenosha FireFighters C.A.R.E. organization, share an enduring beacon of service, empowerment, and opportunity in Kenosha. The relationship started when C.A.R.E. members were celebrity Chefs at the HarborPark Jazz, Rhythm & Blues festival Cooking Studio. It has evolved into an education and workforce alliance to support youth entering the Professional Firefighter and EMS careers. Together, they celebrate mission alignment, amplify impact, and reaffirm their shared commitment to making Kenosha stronger for all.
"Kenosha Firefighters CARE is honored to support the Mahone Foundation. For years, the Foundation has provided life-changing opportunities for children and families throughout our community, helping young people explore, learn, and grow. We deeply value our longstanding relationship and are proud to support their important work." said Joe Sielski, Secretary/Treasurer Kenosha Firefighters C.A.R.E.
